Understanding the Economic Implications of Remote Work With Nicholas Bloom

The future of work is changing and remote work is on the rise. But how will these changes affect the economy and the workforce as a whole? Nicholas Bloom is on the podcast this week to discuss exactly that. As an economics professor, researcher and future of work expert, he's uniquely equipped to discuss how the changes we're seeing in the workplace from COVID-19 will impact our economy. The two discuss the larger implications of the future of work, how entrepreneurs and startups will fare as the pandemic continues, and what remote work is going to look like post-pandemic.

Nicholas has an interesting perspective that most entrepreneurs don't get to see. After years of research and conducting studies on remote work himself, he is able to pull on data to explain why certain things are happening in the workforce and where we're headed. With a broad view of the overall U.S. and global workforces, he's able to look at sweeping trends that go far beyond individual industries or businesses. Chances are, what's happening in your company or industry are not indicative of the overall workforce—this episode will help you take a look at the bigger picture and get ready for the post-pandemic way of working.
